This special all-inclusive package takes you on an eleven day adventure in the South and North Luangwa National Parks. These are rated as some of the top of all game reserves in Southern Africa.
Discover the best of Zambia’s safari destinations without wasting too much time travelling around. This trip is one big game drive, with spectacular wildlife, and superb safaris.
Track and Trail River Camp, South Luangwa National Park – 4 nights
Your adventure begins in Mfuwe. We will collect you at the Mfuwe airport and drive 40 minutes to Track and Trail River Camp, where you will spend the first 4 nights. You will be able to witness the Luangwa Valley and its truly impressive number of animals in great variety. The Luangwa Valley is famous for several species, including its abundance of the elusive leopards.
The safaris at Track and Trail River Camp are conducted in open 4×4 vehicles, which ensure you are at one with nature, and get a great view of all that is around you. With 2 drives per day, one to catch the early morning light and animals in action, and the second in the late afternoon, stopping to watch the amazing African sunsets, before continuing into the dark on a night safari. Each drive lasts 4 hours. You will be accompanied by our very knowledgeable guides, who are there to answer your questions, and position the car for the best possible photo shots.
On the fifth day we will start traveling north, through the Nsefu sector (another sector in the South Luangwa National Park), which is a unique area for seeing huge herds of buffalo, big prides of lions and, on a regular basis, wild dogs. We will stop to have lunch here before we continue the trip to Wilderness Camp in Luambe National Park.
Wilderness Camp, Luambe National Park – 3 nights
Wilderness Camp in Luambe is the only camp in this area, and is located on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking an enormous pod of hippos. The en-suite platformed safari tents, are the perfect accommodation, doubling as a viewing platform for animals and stunning views. Luambe National Park is a relatively small park but has a varied and beautiful landscape and large numbers of game. The three nights here give us a chance to experience and enjoy Luambe and, with two game drives per day, gives us a chance to explore this beautiful park.
On day 8, it is time to explore the untamed bush of Zambia in the North Luangwa National Park. The trip will continue by road and the scenic surrounding are an unforgettable experience. After the 4-hour trip, you will arrive at Luangwa North Camp. With only a few safari operators active in this huge area of almost 4700 square kilometers, it is truly the Wild Africa. Highlights in this area include walking safaris, massive herds of buffalo, large prides of lion… and it is not uncommon to witness some spectacular sightings between the hunter and its prey.
Luangwa North Camp, North Luangwa National Park – 3 nights
Luangwa North Camp is located on a scenic bend of the Luangwa River. This bush camp only accommodates 10 guests to ensure an authentic feeling within the wilderness of this beautiful park.
Luangwa North Camp provides comfortable accommodations. There are five bungalows that are rustic yet elegant with impressive views on the Luangwa River. Each bungalow is roughly 45 squared meters, with decks overlooking the Luangwa River. Each room includes a full bathroom. In each bathroom, the showers have views of the Luangwa River, providing total comfort.the whole camp is on stilts,roughfly 2,5m high.
From the room, the views over the river are spectacular! From camp you may be able to observe the vast and diverse wildlife closely as they come by to drink or cool down on the river. It is not rare to see a huge buffalo herd approaching, the Eis and of course sometimes the lions will follow nearby .
The deck is large (over300 meters) overlooking the Luangwa River. From the restaurant you can also enjoy a candlelit dinner and the magical sounds of the African nights as they come to life.

On day 11 your flight from Mwaleshi airstrip to Mfuwe airport will take about 45 minutes and offers you spectacular views of the Luangwa wilderness from the air. Your connecting flight will bring you to Lusaka, where your trip will end.
