A TYPICAL SAFARI DAY
IN THE ZAMBIAN BUSH
A DAY AT THE CAMP
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL SAFARI DAY LOOK LIKE?
5:00
Wake up call
5:30
Enjoy a light breakfast and take in the panoramic views over the Luangwa river as the sun begins to rise over the horizon.
6:00 – 10:00
Early morning activity: A morning safari by open safari vehicle to catch sight of lions or leopards before they seek shade for the day. Or a walk to experience the thrill of spotting a herd of buffalos and to encounter a more intimate side of the African bush. During the tea/coffee break homemade biscuits will be served.
11:30
Enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch prepared by our chefs before relaxing for a few hours.
13:00
As the days are warm, a little time to relax by the pool recharges your batteries. Or have a siesta in one of the hammocks. There are several scenic spots in camp to take in the view and enjoy nature.
15:30 – 19:30
Evening safari experience – your guide is ready to take you out again for a night drive. This time with a spotter, who uses a strong spotlight once the sun has completely set to look for nocturnal animals like the elusive leopard. At sunset your guide will stop at a scenic spot where you can have a refreshing sundowner drink and homemade snack, and not least enjoy the famous Luangwa sunset.
19:30
A 3-course dinner is served in our cosy restaurant on the river. If you have any unanswered questions, your guide will be happy to join you.
After dinner you can have a drink at our bar or sit around the camp fire before the night falls.
