Day 1-2-3 Maramba River Lodge, Livingstone

Your journey starts from Livingstone airport were you will be welcomed by your driver to take you to Maramba River Lodge. The lodge.is located on the Maramba River, along the elephant corridor with the Mosi- O- Tunya National Park.
At Maramba you can choose  from well-appointed chalets or glamping in one of the luxury tents. The rooms offer a king size bed with mosquito net and fan, while some of the rooms are air conditioned.

Once settled in your favorite accommodation, you can either relax at the pool or join one of the many adventurous activities like visiting the Victoria Falls, wild-water rafting, a sunset river cruise or even a scenic helicopter or microlight flight. These are a few of the numerous activities that can be booked upfront or on arrival at Maramba’s reception.
The lodge is very conveniently situated, just 4 kms from the Victoria Falls and just outside Livingstone’s town centre were you can visit one of the many restaurants.

After admiring the Victoria falls and joining all kinds of sight-seeing and exciting  outdoor activities, it is time for a true safari experience. Be prepared for outstanding game viewing, whether in camp, or in the National Park, on foot or during exhilarating game drives.

Day 4-5-6 Track and Trail River Camp, South Luangwa National Park

On Day four you will return to Livingstone airport and fly to South LuangwaNational Park, This park is known as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Here you find an impressive variety and density of animals like lion, leopard, wild dog, elephant, hippo, giraffe and numerous bird species. The park’s landscape is striking, it is beautiful and diverse with riverine forests, lagoons and open plains,

Upon arrival at Mfuwe airport your driver will meet you for a 35 minutes road transfer to Track and Trail River Camp. Your host will welcome you and take you to your comfortable accommodation, your home for the next 3 nights. All accommodations are ensuite and close to the Luangwa River, the natural boundary with the South Luangwa National Park.

At the camp you can join safari activities in open safari vehicles or experience the bush on foot during a walking safari. Early morning safaris are magic you will see the bush come to live, smell the crisp air and listen to the dawn chorus of birds. After each corner wildlife is waiting for you: giraffe, zebra, different kinds of antelope and even predators hunting or a lounging hyena after a night of activity.

In the afternoon your safari will start of at 15.30 when temperatures slow down and animals become active again after a lazy afternoon. At sundown your guide will find a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink while watching one of Luangwa’s famous sundowners. But then it starts, the excitement of a night drive in the dark, using a spotlight to spot the eyes of the wildlife hiding in the darkness around you. This is the moment to observe the animals of the night like genet, civet, porcupine and bushbaby. You will see hippo’s grazing outside the water, a leopard stalking it’s pray or maybe even a pride of lions hunting. A night safari has an unique and exciting atmosphere something that you can only understand once you have experienced it!

Day 7

Enjoy your last breakfast in the bush overlooking the Luangwa River, before heading back to Mfuwe Airport to catch your outgoing flight to Lusaka Airport where your trip ends. Here you can continue your journey or connect with your international flight on your way going home.
